NUT CRACKING CHICK FLICKS

Something rather strange is happening to me. In taking Kayi to see The Nutcracker a few weeks ago, I found myself enjoying a lot more than her company… I actually enjoyed the ballet too. In response to this minor revelation, and in an attempt to conceal my newfound appreciation, I struck what I thought were some well-timed manly poses, only to realise on reviewing the photos, that I was wearing a pink tie.

I've also found myself indulging in several other activities that I previously wouldn't have considered, "me". For example: one of the things I enjoy doing, is taking the occasional wander down the isles of HMV, picking up DVD’s as I go. I’m usually very particular about the movies I choose, so I've been a little disturbed to discover certain titles creeping into my hands on reaching the checkout. Titles like, "The Notebook", "Serendipity" and "What Women Want"… basically romantic comedies and dramas. It’s a tad embarrassing really, but I can’t seem to help myself these days. I think I'm going nuts. Happy New Year.
