SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY
October 26 Friday 2007

It wasn’t that long ago that I thought I’d finally drawn a line under my academic life: GCSE’s, A-Level’s, Degree & Post Grad – no more formal education for me. But it turns out that part of my internship entails 11 hours of theology a week (the same number as my law degree) at St. Paul’s Theological Centre.

But far from being anything like my degree (and PCLL which utterly exhausted me), I find theology at St. Paul’s absolutely thrilling. I shan’t expound on any of the amazing stuff I’ve learnt, but simply reiterate how amazing it is.

I'd go so far as to say that this has been one of the most enjoyable aspects of the entire programme. Most of the weekday sessions are taken by Revd Dr Graham Tomlin, who has recently been appointed the first Dean of the new St. Mellitus College, which spans the whole of London. On Saturday's we usually have a guest speaker, the Arch Bishop of Canterbury being one of them, who also happens to be a close family friend from his days as Bishop of Monmouth. It's good to be back at school.
